Man arrested in Thatcham in connection with shoplifting at Waitrose

A man has been arrested in connection with a shoplifting offence in Thatcham.

Thames Valley Police has arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with shoplifting at Thatcham Waitrose, in the Kingsland Centre.

The arrest was made at a property near Station Road, close to the Kennet Heath housing estate, at around 3.30pm on Monday (March 17).

The man has since been released on police bail.
