M4 voted third worst road to travel on in the UK
The M4 has been voted the third worst road to travel on in the UK by members of the public.
In a recent survey carried out by online electricals retailer AO.com, British motorists voted the 189-mile motorway, which runs through Berkshire on its way from London to South Wales, as one of the worst to drive on in the UK.
It came third behind the M25, also known as the London Orbital Motorway, and the M6, which stretches from Birmingham to Manchester.
There were 2,000 Brits who took part in the survey, with 58 per cent of those choosing their worst road based on its traffic problems.
The research also revealed that while over a third of Brits (35 per cent) go for a drive to get from A to B, one in five (19 per cent) choose to go for a drive to simply relax and unwind.
When choosing what to listen to in the car, radio came out on top in the survey with more than a third of participants (38 per cent) regularly tuning into national radio stations over podcasts and playlists.
Local stations also proved popular, with 34 per cent listening to the regional radio in the area.
