M4 bridge maintenance works to start today
Work will take place to the bridge carrying Sutton Lane over the M4, just west of junction 5 (Slough), to prolong the life of the structure.
The work will involve daytime closures of Sutton Lane over the M4 and is due to be completed, weather permitting, on Wednesday, January 22.
Highways Agency asset manager, Stephen Hall, said: “Periodic maintenance of this kind is vital to keeping journeys on our roads safe and reliable.
“By carrying out the work during daytime off-peak hours, we hope to minimise disruption for road users and local residents.”
The work will be carried out between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, when Sutton Lane will closed between Hurricane Way and the Sutton Lane residential spur road.
A fully signed diversion route will be in place via the A4, High Street Langley and Parlaunt Road.
