Road closures planned across West Berkshire next week




A number of road closures are planned across West Berkshire next week.

Pre-surfacing dressing works started this week on Ermin Street and Baydon Road, between Shefford Woodlands and Wickham, and are due to be completed on Friday, February 21.

The road will continue to be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Wantage Road, between Brightwalton and Leckhampsted, will be closed on Monday, February 24, between 9.30am and 3.30pm to carry out pre-surface dressing.

The closure will be in place from the junction of Sparrowbill to the junction of Sheep Lease Lane, Lilley.

And Hangmans Stone Lane, between Boxford and Chaddleworth, will be closed for permanent carriageway repairs/plugging works the following day (Tuesday, February 25) between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.

The closure will be from Rowbury Farm Cottages to the junction of unnamed road past the sewage works.

Copperage Road, in Farnborough, will also be shut the same day (Tuesday) to allow various surface dressing and civils works.

The closure will be in place from the junction of B4494 (Wantage Road) to the 'Water Tower', between 9.30am and 3.30pm until Friday, February 28.

Volker Highways are undertaking these works on behalf of West Berkshire Council.
