UPDATE: Lines blocked between Reading and Newbury after incident at Thatcham
UPDATE: All lines between Reading and Newbury are expected to be reopened shortly after emergency services responded to an incident in Thatcham.
Train disruptions are still expected until 9am today (Wednesday).
Trains between Reading and Newbury/Bedwyn are unable to run, and high speed long distance trains between London Paddington and Devon and Cornwall will need to divert between Reading and Taunton.
Customers travelling to or from Reading West are advised to use Reading to Basingstoke services which are unaffected by this incident.
Passengers can board local buses 32 Basingstoke-Kingsclere-Newbury, a service operated by Stagecoach South.
Road transport is running between Reading and Bedwyn via Newbury.
Eight seater taxis will call at all stations and the coach will call at Reading, Theale, Thatcham, Newbury and Bedwyn only.
These taxis and the coach will shuttle until further notice. Please wait at the front of stations for all road transport.
South Western Railway are conveying passengers between Basingstoke and London Waterloo in both directions until further notice.
