Lambourn Woodlands beauty in Miss England semi finals
Ms Yallop hopes to gallop to title
PROFESSIONAL equestrian rider Alyssa Yallop is aiming for a shot at a Miss World title.
The 20-year-old from Lambourn Woodlands has competed for Great Britain in equestrian events and is also a personal trainer and a model.
Now Miss Yallop has entered the nationwide Miss England competition – whose winner goes on to compete in the international contest – and has already won through to the semi-finals.
These are due to take place in Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire on June 11 where contestants will compete for a place in the Miss England Grand Final in Southport in July.
Meanwhile Miss Yallop is encouraged to promote herself and the competition and to raise cash for charity.
She said: “I represent my country in eventing so I thought I’d do something with an equestrian theme. I’ve organised a charity pony show at my home on June 5.”
Miss England national director Angie Beasley said: “The competition is about being beautiful inside and out – we’re not just looking for a pretty face.”
The ultimate winner of Miss England 2016 will spend her year raising awareness for charities and will receive prizes worth £30,000, including a luxury holiday and a place in Miss World 2016, which boasts a prize worth £100,000.
In the last three years more £800,000 has been raised by Miss England contestants to help disadvantaged children around the UK.
