The community pharmacy provides healthcare, expert advice about medicines and has an important and expanding role in public health and reducing health inequalities.
Pharmacists also add value as an important triage not just to GPs but to emergency services.
The main purpose of this community pharmacy Call to Action is to stimulate debate amongst those who work in the field (including support staff), CCGs, health and wellbeing boards, local authorities and other community partners, as how best to develop services that can be delivered by pharmacists and their teams in a community setting.
The tweet chat will be hosted by Thames Valley Area Team Head of Primary Care, Ginny Hope, and Local Pharmaceutical Network chairman, Graham Jones.
The panel of experts will also include Assistant Contract Manager Pharmacy and Optometry, Marian Basra and Primary Care Support Assistant, Sue Williams.
