Compton pupils get ‘inspirational’ careers talk at RAF Benson

Last week, a group of 15 Year 8 girls visited RAF Benson for an “inspirational” careers talk by all-female service personnel.

The Downs School pupils and Sixth Form attended the careers day called 'If You Can See It, You Can Be It'.

They then heard from more than 20 women throughout the day, including an air ambulance paramedic, an RAF fire commander, pilot, soldier and mover/driver, plus a Beefeater – one of only six women to ever obtain this role.
