Hungerford and Newbury named wettest places in Berkshire after receiving the most rainfall in 2024

Hungerford and Newbury have been named the wettest places in Berkshire after they received the most amount of rainfall in the county in 2024.
According to data from weather analyst Visual Crossing, Hungerford’s total rainfall was 36 inches last year, the most of anywhere in Berkshire, while Newbury’s rainfall was 33 inches.
West Berkshire is clearly a rain hotspot, with Lambourn and Thatcham placing third and fourth on the list with 32ins and 31ins respectively.
Sandhurst had the least rainfall in Berkshire in 2024 with 11ins, followed by Crowthorne with 14ins and Wokingham with 18ins.
