Huge fight in Hungerford pub car park leaves man with a fractured skull




Fracas invoving 20 to 30 people resulted in hospitalisations

POLICE have appealed for information following a huge fight in Hungerford.

The incident, which led to people being hospitalised, happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, April 23.

The fight broke out around 1am in the beer garden of the Railway Tavern in Station Road, and spilled into the car park.

Up to 30 people were apparently involved in the fracas, which resulted in two men being taken to hospital, one of them with a fractured skull.

The investigating officer, Det Con Brian Lock from Newbury CID, said: “This fight took place outside a pub with lots of people milling around. We would urge any of those people who saw the fight take place and who have not yet contacted the police to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
