Chieveley Manor, near Newbury, on sale for £5.2m




A historic West Berkshire manor is up for sale.

Chieveley Manor, a late 18th-century manor house in Chieveley, is currently listed for sale at £5,250,000.

The Grade II- listed property has been owned by the Spence family for the last 40 years.

Its extensive outbuildings were once the site of a thriving horse racing business.

The highest-profile horse bred at the stud was Celeric, who won the Ascot Gold Cup in 1997.

The manor contains nine bedrooms. Also located in the 42-acre property is a four-bedroom lodge available under separate negotiation, a three-bedroom stable cottage, a tennis court and an outdoor pool.
