Hermitage village hall is available for sale for £825k

The current hall, built in the Victorian era, was catering for a population of about 670 people but the village has grown in recent years with two housing developments.
Following two recent village consultation events the village hall committee decided to build a larger hall to enable more community events to be held in the village.
The sale of the hall will help fund the the construction of the new hall, with changing rooms, parking and an additional hall for extra community groups, on land off Pinewood Crescent.
The parish council aquired the village football pitch and land from West Berkshire Council earlier this year.
A member of the village hall committee, Roy Marr, who is also a parish councillor, said that the cost for the hall had risen slightly to £1.6m as the landscaping costs were a lot more than first thought; but added that both the committee and the parish council were trying to bring the costs down.
Mr Marr added that the hall had gone out to tender and that the present hall would not be closed until the new one had been built.
