M4 shut between junction 13 at Chieveley and junction 12 at Theale and also near Hungerford overnight this week
Roadworks will affect several parts of the M4 through West Berkshire this week.
From 9pm this evening (Monday) the carriageway will be closed in both directions between junction 14 at Hungerford and junction 15 for Swindon.
This is to allow resurfacing of the motorway to be carried out.
The closure will be in place until 6am tomorrow (Tuesday).
The road will also be closed overnight, during the same hours, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The motorway is also shut, eastbound, between junction 13 for Chieveley and junction 12 at Theale overnight throughout the week as part of ‘major improvement works’ on the motorway.
The westbound exit slip road will be closed at junction 12 too.
It will shut from 9pm until 6am all week from this evening (Monday).
There will also be lane closures in place between junctions 12 and 13, westbound, throughout the evenings this week as roadside drains are cleared.
Further disruption is also expected next week.
