Heartstart scheme looking healthy in Thatcham

Heartstart Thatcham teaches basic emergency life support skills, included putting someone in the recovery position and performing CPR.
Scheme co-ordinator Nick Young said: “I was disappointed at the Government not putting emergency life support skills on the curriculum. I have found schools are genuinely interested in the scheme.
“We are currently working with two schools in the area showing them what it is all about.
“It may be we run courses as an after-school activity, or the schools may adopt their own
version of the scheme, which would be just fantastic.”
