Six crews, including ones from Newbury, Hungerford, Whitley Wood, Mortimer and two from Hampshire, were called to a fire at the Spotted Dog pub in Gladstone Lane yesterday (Tues) evening at about 4.50pm.
The multi-role (command vehicle) from Dee Road fire station also attended.
When crews arrived, they found the ground flood kitchen ablaze and were at the scene until 8.23pm putting it out.
They then returned later in the evening and again this morning to re-inspect the damage.
