Enterprising North Hampshire Girl Guides receive their Duke of Edinburgh Awards

Several North Hampshire Girl Guides were presented with their Gold, Silver and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh awards at a recent presentation evening.

On Friday, March 7, 18 Girl Guides received their awards which aim to inspire young people to grow in confidence and develop life skills. Eight girls achieved Bronze, seven Silver and three Gold.

Throughout the past year and with the support of their leaders, the award-winning Girl Guides have successfully completed the different sections that make up the award: volunteering, physical, skills and expedition, with an additional residential section for Gold.

They all received certificates and pin badges in recognition of their success.
