This year’s nominated principal beneficiaries were Brookfields SEN School and the Purley Park Trust, which both entered teams.

All crews enjoyed a successful day and have expressed interest in returning next year.

Innovations this year included aerial surveillance from the drones of Tony McGinn and Dave Woodcock.

The final was won by The Bitchy Boys, from ProTarsufacing, who paced their refuelling throughout the day to narrowly overcome last year’s champions, Humphrey’s Furry Friends.

The day’s success was all made possible of the 20-plus members and partners who volunteered their time along with the crews who participated, Henley Dragons, Adventure Dolphin and the Pangbourne Fete.
