Don’t forget to vote in Euro elections today

Voting in West Berkshire will be for the 10 MEPs who will represent the UK’s south east region.
Candidates for those 10 seats can stand either as individuals, or as members of a political party.
Each resident eligible to vote, can vote once by putting a cross next to either an individual, or next to a political party which can put forward up to 10 candidates although a vote for a political party will count for only one, in order, on that party list.
Polling cards have been sent to each eligible resident and show people where their nearest polling station is.
Polling stations will open today at 7am and close at 10pm
Once the votes in West Berkshire are counted, they will be sent to the south east region returning officer based in Southampton, where they will be added to the results from the other districts to determine who is elected to the region’s 10 seats.
The results will be posted on

sometime later tonight.
Voting will take place in 28 countries across Europe.
There are 754 seats in the European parliament and 73 MEPs will be elected to represent the UK.
