Dog of the Week

This week’s dog is six-year-old Lhasa Apso, George.
Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, Jenny Hopkins, said: “Like his royal namesake, sweet George needs gentle handling and can’t be left alone for too long.
“He loves people and is quick to form a bond with whomever he meets.
“His new owners will need to take care to groom him as he likes to keep a tidy appearance whilst on public outings.
“George loves to languish in a bed fit for a king, but will settle for a snuggly alternative.
“He adores the Berkshire countryside, so a rural abode would suit him well along with a secure garden where he can relax and potter around at his leisure.
“He would be a good match for an active, retired couple who have another gentle female dog who loves rambling as much as he does.”
If you think George could be a new addition in your home, then visit Dogs Trust Newbury, Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury or call (01488) 658 391.
