GWR says trains between Slough and London Paddington are still experiencing problems on Tuesday morning
Trains into London are still being disrupted this morning due to damage to overhead electric wires between Slough and London Paddington.
GWR said that "following significant damage to the overhead electric lines between between Paddington and Slough earlier yesterday (Monday, September 19) there are no train services running between London Paddington and Slough".
The rail operator added that train services running to and from these stations will be "cancelled, delayed or terminated at and started back from Reading".
Disruption is expected until around midday today (Tuesday).
Network Rail rapid response units were on site overnight and GWR said it was hoping to get the lines reopened as soon as possible.
Customers travelling between London and Reading are advised to travel to and from London Waterloo, using South Western Railway services.
Customers can also use Chiltern Railway services between Oxford, Banbury, and London Marylebone.
If you hold a ticket dated for yesterday (Monday), it will be valid for today (Tuesday).
CrossCountry, London Underground, London buses, Reading Buses, First Bus Berkshire and First Bus route X25 (to Heathrow Airport) will all accept passengers with GWR tickets via any "reasonable route" until this afternoon.
