Hampshire fire and rescue crews battle Baughurst caravan fire overnight




A fire has ripped through a caravan in Baughurst overnight.

Sounds of explosions were reported in the area of O’Bee Gardens and Pinks Lane just after midnight.

Tadley fire station said it was called to the scene at 00.33am and on arrival found "one caravan and one shed were involved".

Fire crews added: "With assistance from a Basingstoke appliance, this was extinguished with 4 BA, 2 hosereels and 2 main jets."

It has been reported locally that all the occupants and nearby neighbours managed to escape unharmed.

The caravan appears to have been completely destroyed by the fire.

On social media local people have already been offering support and clothing to those affected by the blaze.
