Cold Ash Hill closed due to fallen power cables

Thames Valley Police were called to the scene of a single car accident at 4.24pm today (Mon).
The driver, who was not injured, hit the electricity cable which is currently lying across the road.
The road was closed in both directions at 4.48pm at the junction with Hatchgate Close.
Police spokeswoman, Hannah Williams, said that the road was likely to remain closed for several hours while the cable was cleared away.
She added that as a result of the accident, there was a lot of congestion in the area.
Seven customers have lost power because of the accident and a spokesman for Southern Electric said he hoped all the power would be restored by 9pm.
