Thatcham Town Council announced the market cancellation on Thursday.

A council spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, due to a yellow weather warning from The Met Office with gusts of wind up to 60mph and constant rain all day, we have decided to cancel Saturday’s Warming up for Christmas Market event.

“We apologise for any disappointment this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

“Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to celebrating the season with you.”
