Child hit by falling tile on Northbrook Street

A falling tile has struck a child.

Emergency services have cordoned off part of Northbrook Street after an incident occurred involving a young child.

Police confirmed at the scene a loose tile fell from a roof earlier this afternoon, hitting a child walking below.

They did not appear to have sustained any serious injuries.

The area remains closed to pedestrians and crowds have observed emergency services inspecting the building’s roof for possible further damage.
