Café Rouge returns to Newbury

The restaurant opened its doors in Parkway in a spot overlooking Victoria Park on Monday.
In a previous incarnation, the chain had a branch in Market Place which opened in 1996 and closed in the early 2000s.
But the assistant manager, Graham Slater, said this time they are here to stay: “We are very excited to be in Newbury and so far the reception has been good.
“Obviously, not a lot of people know we are here yet, but we have a great location and we are sure that will change soon.”
The restaurant is the latest of the units to be filled in Parkway, Newbury’s newest shopping area. The centre’s second anchor store, John Lewis at Home, is expected to open on April 20.
