In partnership with local businesses and organisations throughout the region, the college and UCN enable people in the local area to access the most relevant training for the career they aspire to and give apprentices the skills they need to succeed.
The apprenticeship programmes offered by Newbury College and UCN are Outstanding, performing at 13.8 per cent above the national average overall, with the apprenticeship standard achievement rate at 11.4 per cent. These are the second best National Achievement Rates for an FE College, nationally.

Have you heard about T Levels?
Alongside Apprenticeships and A-levels, T Levels are now one of the three main options for school leavers. They replace the Level 3 vocational qualifications for 16- to 18-year-olds. One T Level is equivalent to three A-levels. They prepare students for industry-focused careers and higher apprenticeships and include 45 Industry Placement days across two years, in which supporting employers can discover new talent and prepare students for the skills needed in Industry.

Onsite Construction – Carpentry and Joinery
Building Services Engineering for Construction– Electrotechnical Engineering and Plumbing and Heating
Digital Support Services – Network Cabling, Digital Infrastructure, Digital Support
Management and Administration – Business Improvement, Team Leadership and Management, Business Support
