The Flying Scotsman to stop at Newbury Racecourse tomorrow on way from London Paddington to Salisbury




Britain’s most famous train will be stopping at a Newbury train station tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) The Flying Scotsman will pass through West Berkshire on its way from London to Salisbury as part of its 100 years of service celebrations and it will be stopping at Newbury Racecourse.

Departing from London Paddington at 9.38am, the Scotsman will pass through Theale at 10.55am before it stops at Newbury Racecourse for half an hour from 11.09am to 11.39am, where it will take on water.

Following this, the train will pass through Newbury Station at 11.45am before going on to pass through Bedwyn at 12.01pm.

It is scheduled to arrive at Salisbury at 1.05pm.

The Flying Scotsman is named after the service between Edinburgh and London on which it operated.

The famous train is embarking on a number of excursions throughout the country this year to celebrate its centenary.
