Boxford cricketers take on Three Peaks Challenge

In the ultimate test of fitness, the challenge will see them climb the three highest peaks in mainland UK in just 24 hours.
They will have to conquer England’s Scafell Pike, Scotland’s Ben Nevis and Mount Snowdon in Wales.
The team are putting their hiking boots on to raise funds Swings and Smiles, a Newbury-based charity.
Founded in 2007, the charity is aiming to raise sufficient money to build, equip and run a recreational facility for children with special needs and their families.
Find out how the Boxford Boars got on in their energy-sapping adventure in next week’s Newbury Weekly News.
