Body believed to be missing South Oxfordshire man found in West Berkshire
Police have found a body in their search for a man reported missing from South Oxfordshire.
Mark Nicholls, 72, from Little Wittenham, near Abingdon, was last seen at his home at 10.30pm on February 23.
Yesterday (Thursday), Thames Valley Police said the body of a man was located in Streatley, West Berkshire.
Detective Sergeant Nathan Adby, based at Abingdon police station, said: “Extensive enquiries have been ongoing to find Mark since he was reported missing, and very sadly, a body has been located yesterday afternoon in Streatley, Berkshire.
“Although formal identification has not yet taken place, we believe this to be Mark, and his family have been made aware and are being supported by officers.
“Our thoughts are with them at this very distressing time.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
