Blue's Smokehouse restaurant opens in Newbury's Market Place this weekend
Newbury's latest restaurant will throw open its doors with a night of free food, drinks and music this week.
Blue’s Smokehouse will enjoy its official grand opening tonight (Friday, October 1) in the town's Market Place and everyone is invited.
The authentic American smokehouse is renowned for bringing brisket, craft beer, bourbon and burgers to its customers.
Friday's event will run from 6.30pm until 9pm and the restaurant is promising "free food, drinks, music and a few surprises".
The company said: "At Blue’s our motto is “arrive hungry, leave happy” so get ready for free food, drinks, music and a few surprises.
"We’re passionate about what we do and we want you to be too, so get ready to enjoy a selection from our menu of delicious authentic American BBQ, southern specials and burgers.
"Plus, because you can’t say bar-b-que without bar, attendees will receive a free drink from our handpicked collection of craft beers and fully loaded cocktails."
No grand opening is complete without a great soundtrack, and so Friday's event will also see Mudslide Morris and The Revelators and folk duo Colorado River getting the crowds toe-tapping along to classic rock, blues and boogie.
Food and drink will be provided in exchange for free vouchers that will be issued upon arrival on a first come first served basis.
