Golf course near Tadley for sale if you have £4.5m
Have you ever dreamed of owning your own golf course?
Now's your chance, always assuming you have £4.5m to spare.
Land incorporating Bishopswood Golf Course, near Tadley, has recently been offered for sale and has already generated a lot of interest.
The land up for sale totals 74.65 acres, within which lies the nine-hole golf course plus clubhouse.
The particulars say that the course includes 'a challenging 6,350 yard Par 72', which sounds ideal for keen golfers looking to improve their game.
The privately-owned land and buildings have been put up for sale by Quintons in Newbury, which has been tasked with finding a buyer.
Quintons director Shane Prater said: "The sale of a golf course doesn't come up very often and since it went online just a couple of days ago it has already sparked a lot of interest.
"It's a unique opportunity for golf lovers or for people looking to invest in something a bit different."
Mr Prater explained that the buyer will own all the lands and the buildings, which includes a members golf club and driving range.
The driving range is covered and floodlit and is currently rented out to the Gareth Johnston Golf Academy until the end of July, 2031, generating rental income.
The particulars for the sale say that the clubhouse is 'less than 10 years old' and houses the Sands Lounge and Balcony Bar on the upper floor.
There is a terrace overlooking the golf course and three meeting rooms in the clubhouse.
The sales particulars also state: 'The property offers potential for alternative uses on parts of the site whilst still retaining the golf club and range. The uses include Extra Care (Hampshire County Council have confirmed the site is suitable) and social and private housing.'
At the end of 2021, the owner withdrew a planning application for outline permission for 90 affordable housing units outside of the golf playing area, but with access available within site ownership.
