A34 northbound closed following collision

The A34 northbound carriageway is currently closed between the M4 (J13, Chieveley) and the A4185 Chilton due to a collision.

One lane remains open on the southbound carriageway.

This is while a vehicle that has collided with the central barrier is recovered.

There is substantial spillage and barrier damage which requires extensive clean-up.

TVP roads policing have said the carriageway will be closed for most of the morning.

They urge motorists to “Please drive carefully in these wet conditions.”
