19 vehicles damaged in weekend spate in Newbury





Between 6pm on Friday (7) and 12pm on Saturday (8) 19 vehicles were damaged in various car parks on Gaywood Drive, Redfield Court, and Ashwood Drive. These were -
• A white Ford Fiesta, had two tyres damaged
• White Vauxhall Insignia, had one tyre damaged
• Grey Mitsubishi Pajero had all four tyres damaged
• Blue Peugeot 206, had one tyre damaged
• Silver Renault Scenic, had one tyre slashed.
• Red Renault Scenic had two tyres cut
• Blue Fiat Punto, had two tyres damaged
• Grey Ford Mondeo, had one tyre slashed.
• Red Peugeot 206 had one tyre damaged.
• Grey Vauxhall Astra has one tyre damaged.
• Blue VW Golf, has one tyre slashed and the wing mirror smashed off.
• White Peugeot Partner van had one tyre damaged.
• Silver Vauxhall Mevera has one tyre damaged.
• Blue VW Passat had one tyre slashed
• Blue Vauxhall Vectra had two tyres damaged.
• Silver Fiat Punto had two tyres slashed.
• Silver Mercedes E20 had one tyre cut.
• Silver Ford Mondeo estate had one tyre damaged.
Pc Darryl Macandrew from Newbury police station said: “This has caused significant disruption to the victims of these vehicles not to mention the excessive costs involved to repair or replace the tyres.
“If anyone saw anything suspicious please get in touch.”
