Hour-long delays this morning after crash on M4 between junction 12 for Theale and junction 13 at Chieveley

UPDATE: This incident has now been cleared.

A crash is causing long delays on the M4 in West Berkshire this morning (Friday).

The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between junction 12 for Theale and junction 13 at Chieveley.

There are currently delays of more than an hour on the motorway.

Two lanes are shut westbound and one lane is also closed on the eastbound carriageway while the crash scene is cleared.

National Highways said it didn’t expect to have the motorway fully open again until at least 1.30pm.
