Dog show to celebrate 50 years of animal welfare trust at Trindledown Farm, Sustainable Living market and Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser: A guide to what's on this Sunday, September 26




A round-up of events taking place today (Sunday) across West Berkshire and North Hampshire.

  • Newbury Artisan Market, Northbrook Street, Newbury, 10am-4pm. Quality produce, original art, designer crafts and sizzling street food on the last Sunday of each month.
  • Car Boot Sale and Dog Show, Trindledown Farm, 9.30am-1.30pm. National Animal Welfare Trust will be hosting a car boot sale, dog show and selling their own donated stock. There will also be a fun dog show, with rosettes and goodie bags for first to sixth place. This event is to raise funds for the animals at Trindledown Farm and is a celebration of 50 years of NAWT.

  • The Big Boobie Bonanza, Trunkwell House, Beech Hill, 11am-3pm. More than 40 stalls, children’s rides, bouncy castle and bungree run. Rereshments and charity tombola. First 100 people get in free. Entry £1 adults, children 50p. Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser.
  • Foxglove Care Farming Project Open Day, Foxglove Farm, Great Common, Inkpen, 10am-4pm. Local food and craft stalls, meet the animals, tasting and food demonstrations, tractor and trailer rides, children’s activities, refreshments. In aid of Foxglove Care Faming Project – improving the health and well-being of young people and adults. Don’t forget to bring your wellies! www.foxglovefarm.uk

  • Sustainable Living Market, Catholic Hall, Thatcham, 2pm-4pm. Small, local sustainable businesses selling bamboo toothbrushes, natural and organic moisturiser, home cleaning products and food items.
  • West Berks Indoor Bowls, Pyle Hill, Newbury, 10am-2pm. Free taster sessions for all ages. www.wbibc.co.uk
  • St Mary's Church, Shaw-cum-Donnington, Newbury, Morning Worship at 10 am, Choral Evensong at 4pm followed by tea. Celebrating the Creation and supporting the needy at these Harvest Festival Services. All are very welcome.
