Saturday

Well-known local falconer Ray Prior is taking his falconry display to Aldworth Recreation Ground, by the village hall in Bell Lane, Aldworth, from 10.30am. He will be flying his birds of prey at 11am. Free, collection for St Mary's Church, Aldworth.

Cold War bunker open day, by Great Bedwyn Royal Observer Corps Heritage Group, from 12pm-5pm. Between Little Bedwyn and Great Bedwyn – it will be signposted. Entrance £5 and includes tour, drink and burger. No under 12s due to height restrictions. Other attractions include Seaborne D-Day 80 display, military vehicles and classic cars, raffle and sweet stand.

Rathayatra Festival, Victoria Park, Newbury, from 12pm-5pm.

East Woodhay Flower Show and Fete, East Woodhay Village Hall, RG20 0AP, from 2pm. A traditional village show with flower and produce exhibition classes, spinning demonstration, fete games, stalls, plants, BBQ, teas, East Woodhay Silver Band and more.

Open Studio and garden at Rookery Farm Studio, Woolton Hill, Newbury, RG20 9XP, from 10am-5pm. Also on Sunday. Art exhibition, free teas and plant sale in aid of Fairclose Dementia Charity.

Country and Western dance with singer Glyn Long from Longshot, at Woodlands St Mary village hall, from 7.45pm-10.45pm. Entry £7.50 and all welcome.

Sunday

Baughurst Repair Café, first birthday celebration, Heath End Village Hall, Baughurst, from 10am-1pm. Includes a barbeque for the volunteers and invited guests. Councillor David Leeks will present each of the volunteers with a certificate of appreciation for the 825 volunteered hours so far recorded.

South Berks Concert Band, on the bandstand in Victoria Park, Newbury, from 3pm-5pm.

Monday

19-30 to 22-00hrs. Newbury and District Transport Group meeting, Kennet School, Thatcham, from 7.30pm-10pm. David Canning, local photographer and retired railwayman, will give his updated talk 'The Changing Face of The Berks and Hants Line Reading to Newbury 1958-2024’. This is a rearranged talk from originally advertised owing to speaker non-availability. Raffle and refreshments available. All welcome, free admission.
