Victoria Wood’s coming to Hungerford … well sort of!

Victoria Wood’s on stage in Hungerford … sort of!

National treasure Victoria Wood had legions of fans. The multi-talented comedian, actress, lyricist, singer-songwriter, composer, pianist, screenwriter, presenter, producer, director, and impressionist died far too early.

Her legacy is still there on our screens but if you’d like to re-live some of Victoria’s magic LIVE then Victorious is possibly the closest you’ll get.

This joyful and poignant musical tribute to the late, great Victoria Wood is devised and performed brilliantly by Hannah Brackenbury.

Winner of multiple awards, including Best Show at the Funny Women Awards 2019, it celebrates Wood’s legacy with humour and reverence.

The show moves audiences with its blend of laughter and tender moments, and critics have praised Hannah as a worthy successor to Victoria, able as she is to capture Wood’s wit and emotional depth.

Broadway Baby - which reviews for the West End, Fringe and across the UK, says: “This comedian is a class act… if Wood could have chosen someone to celebrate and showcase her work, and demonstrate its influence on future comedians..I’m pretty sure Hannah Brackenbury would have been on her shortlist”

Arts for Hungerford are hosting Victorious at the Croft Hall on Saturday April 5. Tickets are available via their website www.artsforhungerford.com

The show kicks off at 7.30pm.
