Guaranteed to have popular songs for the family to sing-along to and fast-paced dance routines that everyone will want to learn, this is the perfect first concert experience for music-loving little ones. The final show on offer for families this half term is Fireman Sam: The Great Camping Adventure (Sunday, June 2). Everyone’s favourite fireman and his friends are coming to Newbury for two performances. When Norman and his friends go on an adventure to explore the countryside, he finds himself in a spot of bother. Audience members will help Fireman Sam to save the day and make sure everyone gets home safe. There is also the opportunity to take part in a pre-show workshop for Fireman Sam: The Great Camping Adventure, where little ones will be able to make their own fire engine out of repurposed junk materials that they can take home and enjoy after the show.

Over at the Learning Centre, children ages 4 – 11 can take part in the popular Create and Make (Tuesday 28 – Friday 31 May) sessions. Activities during these sessions include arts and crafts, drama and more! The children will get to work with professional practitioners to explore the theme of rainbows through creative arts, developing new skills and making new friends.

At The Base, Greenham, children aged 7 – 13 can start their half term with Macramé for Kids (Saturday, May 25) where they will learn the basics of macramé and how to create their own colourful hanging rainbow to take home. The Base’s popular Half Term Art Club (Tuesday, May 28 – Friday 31) offers children aged 6 – 11 to experiment with different art techniques and creative projects, encouraging them to use their imaginations and get creative during the school holidays.
