West Berkshire’s Boxford Masques are on their way back again
The Boxford Masques are on their way back again!
A new show is being planned for 2025, which will also mark the 25th anniversary of the revival of this popular West Berkshire community show, to be staged once more under tented cover at Boxford cricket ground.
While a brand new play is being created and a new cast recruited for next year – all welcome as ever – contact via the Masques website www. boxfordmasques.org.uk there is also much fund-raising to be done for this ever spectacular show.
So a Party in The Park will take place at the cricket ground on Saturday June 29, 2pm till late, free entry and featuring a host of stalls, a bar and barbecue, a lighthearted dog show, and entertainments for all the family, including a performance from renowned Tall Tales theatre for children and music all day from Aoife, Ella Skye, Loose Covers and a headline evening appearance from returning local rockers The Station, fresh from a series of sell-out gigs in London.
It sounds like a good way to spend a Saturday – especially if you’re fed up with politicians and football by then – so fingers crossed for decent weather and a real summer-time treat.
