Honesty Live music gigs move from Hungerford to Newbury
Unfortunately, the Herongate Honesty coffee shop was closed at the end of July. However, the regular Honesty Live music events are continuing and have been moved to The Hartley Arms, the company's pub restaurant in Donnington. Their recent first night in the new venue was a sell out success.
There are a few different arrangements in the new venue. Although the entertainment is free, you have to book a table in advance.
The restaurant has a tapas and cocktail menu and bar snacks available on the night of Honesty Live (no full menu). It's an award winning establishment, so they promise the food will be exceptional. The pub opens at 5.30pm and music starts at 7.30pm.
Upcoming shows are:
Thursday, August 18: acoustic indie singer Charley Hart, a solo artist "with an incredible voice" and who sings lesser-known but much loved songs by artists such as KT Tunstall to Paolo Nutini. She’s been gigging since she was 14 and has written and recorded a number of her own songs that have been on Spotify. Her singing is a hobby that she has developed and grown since she was young, and she now enjoys playing regularly at local venues and events across West Berkshire and Hampshire.
Thursday, September 1: Vocalist Jenny Bell accompanied by guitar virtuoso Hugh Turner with jazz and classic pop songs. Hugh’s music appeals to a wide range of audiences, from jazz aficionados to lovers of raw musical energy and his performances have been a huge success at jazz clubs and music venues throughout the UK over the last few decades.
