Bite-size exhibition in theatre restaurant features work of two local artists
If you’ve recently been to The Watermill to see Piaf, you may have caught sight of the current art exhibition of work by Chris Boulton and Kevin Scully, in the restaurant area which, says curator Gay Smith, “looks terrific”.
It runs until April 28.
Visitors are welcome to visit during the theatre’s opening hours, see their website watermill.org.uk
Chris Boulton, who lives in Highclere, is CEO of the Greenham Trust and paints as a hobby. His lively oil paints are of recognisable places around Newbury and reflect the local culture of Newbury. He generously donates the proceeds to local cancer charities and the theatre.
Kevin Scully, from Hampstead Norreys, trained at Wimbledon School of Art and exhibits his work widely and travels extensively. His atmospheric paintings in oil or acrylic convey his love of travel to warmer climes. He runs art courses and painting holidays.
