Fuel Cell Systems’ relocation continues its expansion in Hungerford

Fuel Cell Systems has relocated its operations and engineering departments to new purpose-built premises at Smitham Bridge, Hungerford.

The move marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued expansion and development.

Benefiting from a larger, more modern facility, with double the space, the site is designed to support ambitious growth plans.

A spacious warehouse and factory, along with significantly expanded office space to accommodate the growing team, will facilitate the design and development of cutting-edge hydrogen refuelling equipment.

The new HyFleet system is well on the way to completion and will provide refuelling for large fleets across the UK and Europe, including HGVs, vans, buses and cars.

“It’s a fantastic start to the year,” said Lee Juby, CEO at Fuel Cell Systems.

“The new premises have allowed us to organise our departments more effectively, giving our teams the space and resources they need to continue their outstanding work.

“We’re excited about the opportunities this move brings and the momentum it gives us heading into 2025.

“I am amazed how we managed to fit everything into our previous premises.

“Customers are welcome to visit us and see how we can meet their requirements.”

The company’s marketing, sales and finance teams remain at its Station Yard premises, also in Hungerford, ensuring continuity and strong collaboration across sites.

The company has been based in the West Berkshire town since it was founded in 2010 and has strong links in the area.

Together, these locations support its ability to scale, streamline operations, and better serve its customers.
