Kintbury Rangers’ 26-game unbeaten streak comes to an end
Kintbury Rangers’ unbeaten streak has finally come to an end.
They lost their first league game of the season on Saturday, as Park United came to visit at the Recreation Ground.
Kintbury knew that a win could secure the Wiltshire Senior League title, but instead they saw their 26 game unbeaten run come to an end.
Goals from Nick Chandler and Jake Angell handed the visitors a 2-1 victory, moving them up to eighth.
Kintbury remain firmly top of the league however, still boasting a remarkable record so far this season.
They’ve scored 70 goals, averaging 2.6 per game, while only conceding a total of twelve.
They smashed Faringdon Town away from home last Saturday thanks to goals from George Armstrong, Jesse Bowers and James Patton.
Last Wednesday also saw them beat Malmesbury Victoria Development 4-1 away from home, helped by a Kye Williams hat-trick.
This form has been enough to earn them a 23 point lead at the top.
