What's on Sunday

The big event this bank holiday Sunday is the Brightwalton Fete which kicks off at 1pm until 4pm.

Entrance is free with parking on site and there is entertainment, stalls, and a host of other fun and games for the family.

The Old Bluecoat School, Thatcham, will have a concert performance at 4pm, tickets priced £10 per adult and £5 for school-aged child.

Rebekah Frost, viola, Kate Addis, double bass, Kay Whittle, cello will play a programme including works by Rossini, Beethoven, Dragonetti and Michael Haydn.

There is also a morning walk for Kintbury’s Wildlife Group starting at 8.30am.

The walk sets off from Thatcham’s Nature Discovery Centre to pass along the Thatcham Reedbeds for spring bird song.
