Police seek witnesses to fatal A34 Chieveley collision
21-year-old Wiltshire woman died at scene
POLICE have appealed for the drivers of two cars to come forward following a fatal collision on the A34 near Chieveley last Tuesday (March 22).
A 21-year-old woman from Wiltshire died after her Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with an articulated lorry on the southbound A34 near Chieveley shortly after 9pm.
The woman died at the scene while the lorry driver later went to hospital for checks.
Police are keen to speak to the drivers of a Nissan Micra (2002 to 2007 models) and a Ford Kuga, both seen in the area at the time.
Det Sgt Ashley Hannibal, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:
"I am keen to stress that neither of these drivers is in any trouble but from further enquiries we believe they may have information which is vital to our investigation."
Witnesses are asked to contact Thames Valley Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit, at Three Mile Cross as a matter of urgency, on the non emergency telephone number – 101 quoting URN 1544 22/3.
A man in his forties from Yorkshire has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
